Garment Printer Ink is a printing equipment and supplies retailer located in Hauppauge, NY. I had the pleasure of working with them for about 2 years and in that time I got to work on many awesome projects that propelled my creativity, expanded my technical skills, and gave me an understanding of what I want my career to be. I was truly lucky to have worked there as my first job out of college and I'll always remember the fun I had there.
Also I'd like to preface this project by suggesting that you start from the bottom and scroll upwards. I think it's important to chronologically illustrate the progress I've made since I began my time at GPI.
This animation was made to kickoff an event for UNINET that was hosted at GPI headquarters. It's without a doubt the most overkill idea for a transfer printer ad, but that's what made it so fun to work on. The storyboarding went through several revisions but the core idea stayed the same; "It's a box of magic, not just a printer." The sweat and tears that were put into this project, as ridiculous as it was, really taught me that I could achieve whatever idea I set myself on.
This project involved modeling the printer using several 3D scans I took as reference. As for the dragon and plane models, they were purchased on CG Trader. After which, I rigged and animated the dragon and I even got to play with some pyro FX!
Looking back its definitely a bit rough but I think it demonstrates my creative ambitions!
Here is an interactive 3D environment asset I created for the GPI website.
A simple message but a really fun way to drive the point home! This asset could be easily broken down into fragments to create smaller interactive assets.

A thumbnail template for GPI Labs; a review/tutorial series aimed at educating print-enthusiasts about various printing techniques and print equipment.

A set of various product images I was tasked with creating for Shopify, Amazon, and Ebay.
My first video project from when I started as a Graphic Designer. Coming up with the shots on the fly was really challenging but made me appreciate the skill it takes to frame a subject while moving. Though the editing process though, was an absolute blast! I learned to time-remap the footage I shot to make the camera movements more stylized. I also learned how to track a camera to insert text elements in place over the footage.
Overall I'm really proud of what I was able to create.
